The City of Lakewood contracts with the LASD to meet its law enforcement needs. When arrested in one of the areas listed above, an arrestee will be taken immediately to the Lakewood Station Jail where they will undergo booking and processing. Once completed, bail will be set and it will be possible to obtain the inmate’s release via bail bond.

The on-site jail is small, and not intended for the long-term housing of inmates. If someone remains at the Lakewood Station Jail for longer than 72-hours, it is likely that they will be transferred to one of the much larger, much busier jails in downtown Los Angeles. Men are typically transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility while women are transferred to the Lynwood Jail. Upon transfer, inmates will have to go through another round of processing that can take up to 24-hours to complete. During this second round of processing, it will be impossible to bail them out of jail. However, if the bail bond process has begun while your friend or loved one is still located at the Lakewood Station Jail, it’s possible to avoid transfer altogether.

Why Bail Someone Out?

Being arrested and taken into custody is nothing if not disruptive of one’s life. While in police custody, they are more or less unable to attend to any of their regular duties and obligations on the outside. When you bail someone out, it gives them the opportunity to attend classes, continue going to work, obtain legal counsel and make the proper preparations if it looks like they may be spending time in jail.

How to Bail Someone Out

It’s easy to bail someone out of jail, and it can be done from the comfort of your own home. Just give us a call and provide us with some general information about the person you want to bail out of jail. We’ll locate them within the jail system, verify that they’re eligible for bail, and have you fill out our simple, straightforward bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Last, we provide you with a receipt and send someone to the jail to post the bond. Your friend or loved one will then be released shortly thereafter.

We are more than happy to meet with you at the jail, our office, or not at all! As mentioned above, we can handle the bail bond application process with you from anywhere via phone, fax or email.

How to Pay

Most of our clients pay via major credit/debit cards, of which we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover. However, we also take cash, business or personal checks, money orders, bank account transfers and money wire.
