The Vista Detention Facility serves as the primary location for both men and women arrested in north San Diego County. Its capacity is 820 beds and is the only facility that houses both male and female inmates for both felony and misdemeanor offenses. Most of the inmates located here are known as “pre-trial” inmates, meaning that they have not yet attended their first court date. As such, most of the inmates are eligible for bail.
