The police station the defendant will be taken to immediately following their arrest will depend on which area in Cahuenga Pass they were arrested. Those arrested north of Barham Blvd. will typically be taken to the North Hollywood police station while those arrested south of Barham Blvd. will be taken to the Hollywood Police Station. No matter which jail the defendant is taken to, they will need to go through the booking and processing procedure before bail will be set. The entire procedure can take often take several hours – depending on  how busy the police station is at the time of the defendant’s arrest – and the setting of bail is the final step in that procedure.

Arrest and Booking Process

When someone is arrested and taken to the police station, they will need to be booked and processed into the system before they are put into a cell. This procedure includes taking the inmate’s photograph, recording their fingerprints and conducting a national background check. Once complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible and it will be possible to secure their release via bail bond.

Bail Bond Process

The bail bond process is pretty simple. It starts with calling and providing us with some information about the inmate which we will use to locate him or her within the system and verify their eligibility for bail.

Once complete, we will have you fill out and sign the short, simple bail bond application forms and indemnitor’s agreement. After that, we will dispatch one of our agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released a few hours later.

If you’re unable to meet with us directly, the entire bail bond application process can be completed from start to finish via fax or email. We know times like this can be stressful, and we want your experience with us to be as easy as possible.
