LASD Inmate Locator
When someone is arrested in Monterey Park, they will be taken to the local police station to undergo booking and processing. The booking process includes taking the arrestee’s photograph, recording their fingerprints and conducting a national background check. Once complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible and it will be possible to be released via bail bond.
The booking process can take anywhere from 45-minutes to several hours, depending on how busy the police station is. Regardless, inmates will only be held at the Monterey Park police station jail for a maximum of 72-hours. Once this period of time has passed, or if the jail becomes too crowded, inmates will be transferred to a larger holding facility in downtown Los Angeles. Men are taken to Twin Towers while women are taken to the Lynwood Jail. When transferred, inmates will likely have to spend an additional 24-hours in custody as they are processed in at their new location. When the bail bond application process is begun quickly, though, it is often possible to avoid the transfer process altogether.
The Bail Bond Process
The process begins by giving us a call and providing us with some general information about the inmate. We will use the information you provide to locate him or her within the system and verify their eligibility for bail. After that, you will need to fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Lastly, once everything has been filled out and signed, we will dispatch one of our agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released a short time later.
