LASD Inmate Locator
The City of La Verne has it’s own police force who operate out of the La Verne Police Station. The Station is staffed by 45 full-time officers and has a type-1 jail located on the premises.
A type-1 jail means that inmates who are taken there will not be there for for long. As a matter of fact, inmates taken to the La Verne Jail will only be there for a maximum of 48 hours. If they are not bailed out quickly, or granted one of the additional options for release, they will be transferred to one of the larger jails in downtown Los Angeles. Men are usually sent to Twin Towers and women are sent to the Lynwood Jail. To avoid this transfer (and an additional 24, or so, hours in custody) it’s best to get the bail bond process started as quickly as possible and bail the inmate out directly from the La Verne Jail.
Arrest and Booking Process
Immediately after arrest, an arrestee will be taken to the La Verne police station to undergo booking and processing. They will have their fingerprints recorded, photographs will be taken and a national background check will be conducted. After that, bail will be set for those who are eligible and it will be possible to get them released via bail bond.
Fast, Easy Bail Bonds
When you work with us, we make it our priority to make the entire process as seamless and easy for you as possible. When you give us a call, we will only need some general information about the inmate in order to get the process started. The info we need will be the inmates full name, birth date and the date and time of arrest. If not all of this information is available, we can still help you out.
Once the inmate has been located, we will need you to fill out the short, straight-forward bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. After that, we send someone to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released shortly thereafter.
If you’re calling from outside the area, or aren’t able to meet with us directly, we can handle the entire bail bond process from start to finish via, phone, fax or email.
What is an Indemnitor?
The indemnitor is the person who signs the bail bond. You see, when someone is bailed out of jail, they still need to show up for their court date(s). When they fail to do so, the person who signed the bail bond will be responsible for paying the full amount of bail to the court. If the defendant does show up for their court date, then the indemnitor does not have to pay the court the full amount of bail (no matter the outcome of the trial).
Since the person reading this will likely be the signer of the bail bond, it is highly advisable to only bail out those whom you know and trust.
