Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station and Jail Info
Deputies working out of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station are responsible for patrolling Hidden Hills. When someone is arrested in the area, it is to the Malibu/Lost Hills station that they will be immediately taken to. Upon arrival, the arrestee will undergo the booking and processing procedure, during which they will have photographs taken, their fingerprints recorded and a national background check will be conducted. The process can take as little as 45-minutes or as long as a few hours, depending on how busy the station is at the time of their arrival. Only after booking and processing has been completed will an inmate be eligible for bail.
The on-site jail at the Malibu/Lost Hills station is very small, and intended only for the short-term housing of inmates. If someone remains there for longer than 72-hours, or if the jail becomes overcrowded, inmates will begin to be transferred to larger jails in downtown Los Angeles. Men will be transferred to Twin Towers Jail while women are sent to CRDF a.k.a. the Lynwood Jail. Upon transfer, inmates will need to go through another round of booking and processing at the new location, which can take anywhere from 12 to 24-hours to complete. During this period, inmates will not be able to be bailed out.

The Bail Bond Process
The bail bond process is probably a lot less complicated than you may believe. It starts by giving us a phone call and providing us with some general information about the person you want to bail out. We will use the info you provide to locate them and verify their eligibility for bail. Then, we have you fill out the bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. All of our forms are short and to the point, but if you have any questions, we’re always happy to explain them to you. Once everything has been filled out, we provide you with a receipt and send one of our agents to the jail to post the bond. Your friend or loved one will then be released a short time later.
We’re happy to meet with you at our office, the jail, or wherever you’re most comfortable. If you’re out of the area, or are otherwise unable to meet with us in person, we can handle the bail bond application process just as quickly via phone, fax or email.
