Ventura County Inmate Locator
The Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility has been in operation for over 35-years, and is capable of housing up to 890 inmates, both sentenced and un-sentenced. No matter where in Ventura County someone is arrested, nor by whom, it is possible for them to be taken to this location to undergo booking and processing and await their court date.
The facility is staffed by over 250 civilian and sworn-deputies who oversee a variety of inmates, including general population, violent offenders, the mentally ill and those who require medical attention.
Arrest and Booking Process
Booking and processing is a procedure you’re likely familiar with whether you’ve ever been arrested or not, because it’s often depicted on tv and in movies. It involves taking an arrestee’s photograph, recording their fingerprints, and conducting a national background check. Once these things are complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible and it will be possible to obtain their release via bail bond.
How to Bail Someone Out
To bail someone out of jail, give us a call and provide us with their name, birth date, and the date and time of their arrest. If not all of this information is available to you – don’t worry! As long as we have some of it, we can still help you out. We’ll use the information you provide to identify the individual, locate them within the jail system and verify their eligibility for bail. After that, we will have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Finally, we provide you with a receipt and send someone to the jail to post the bond. Your friend or loved one will then be released a little while later.
If you’re not from the area, or are otherwise incapable of meeting with us in person, we can handle the entire process electronically via phone, fax or email. No matter where you are or what your circumstances, we’re here to help you get your friend or loved one out of jail as fast and easy as possible.
