If you know someone who’s been arrested in Hawthorne, CA, you should know that you can get them out of jail any time of day or night. Once they’ve been taken into custody, they’ll be transported to the Hawthorne Police Station where they’ll undergo booking and processing. During booking and processing, they’ll have their fingerprints recorded, photograph taken and a national background check will be conducted. The part that takes the longest is the background check, and the entire procedure can take several hours to complete – especially if the jail is busy.

It isn’t possible to bail someone out while they’re going through booking and processing, because bail hasn’t been set. Once booking and processing has been completed, bail will be set and it will be possible to obtain the defendant’s release via  bail bond.

When you bail someone out of the Hawthorne Police Station jail, you can either go through the court or use a bail bondsman. If you choose to bail someone out through the court, you’ll need to post the entire amount of bail (which can be considerable) to the court clerk during court business hours. Typically, these are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. When you bail someone out via bail bond, the cost will be only a fraction of the total amount of bail as a fee for the bail bondsman’s service. Additionally, a bail bondsman on our staff can bail someone out in Hawthorne 24 hours a day, 7 days week (including weekends and holidays).

Once we post the defendant’s bail, they will need to be processed out – which can take a few hours depending on how busy the police station is. If the defendant isn’t bailed out within 72-hours, they’re probably going to be transferred to Twin Towers Jail or the Lynwood Jail, a process that will add at least 24-hours to their time in custody.
