The Victorville Sheriff Station is staffed by over 150 individuals, including civilian, volunteer and reserve deputies. Victorville is the first city to contract with the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department for the purposes of law enforcement, and it did so in 1962.
When an inmate is arrested in Victorville, they are taken to the Victorville Station to undergo booking and processing. This is the procedure in which arrestees have their fingerprints recorded, photographs taken and a national background check is conducted. Once completed, bail will be set for those who are eligible and it will be possible to bail them out of jail via bail bond.
Inmates who are not bailed out quickly will likely be transferred to the San Bernardino County Jail – a process which can add an additional 12 to 24-hours to their time in custody as they go through another round of processing at their new location. Beginning the bail bond process while they are still located at the Victorville Station can usually avoid the transfer process altogether and therefore minimize the time they spend in custody.
How Bail is Set
Judges are responsible for setting bail in California. When bail is set for an inmate after they’ve gone through the arrest and booking process, the County Bail Schedule will detail the amount in which bail is to be set depending on the number and nature of the crimes an individual is charged with.
The vast majority of inmates will find themselves eligible for bail. However, in a few cases, inmates will find themselves ineligible for bail and therefore unable to be bailed out. In these rare cases, the inmate in question will usually be deemed a threat to public safety or severe flight risk if allowed out of custody.
Bailing Someone Out
To bail someone out of jail, simply give us a call and provide us with a little general information regarding the inmate you want to bail out. We will use the info to locate them within the jail system and verify their eligibility for bail. Then, we have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Last, we send an agent to the jail to post the bond and your friend or loved one will be released a short time later.
If you’re from out of the area or are unable to meet with us for any reason, we are more than happy to handle the entire bail bond process from start to finish via phone, fax or email.
