The City of Industry contracts with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for its law enforcement needs. The deputies stationed at the Industry Station not only patrol the City of Industry, but also parts of La Habra Heights, La Puente and some unincorporated areas surrounding the cities. All in all, 65 square miles of the eastern portion of the San Gabriel Valley is patrolled by the deputies of Industry Station.
When someone is arrested in one of these areas, they will be taken directly to the sheriff’s station where they will undergo booking and processing. During this process, their photographs will be taken, fingerprints will be recorded and a national background check will be conducted. After that, bail will be set and it will be possible to bail them out via bail bond.
The City of Industry Jail is not set up for the permanent housing of inmates, and those who remain in custody for over 48 hours will often be transferred to one of the larger jails in downtown Los Angeles. Men are usually sent to Twin Towers Correctional Facility while women are transferred to the CRDF, otherwise known as the Lynwood Jail. These jails are some of the busiest in the world, and when transferred, inmates can expect to spend at least an additional 12-24 hours in custody as they await their turn to be “processed in” at the new jail. It is possible, though, to bail an inmate out directly from the City of Industry jail, provided that the bail bond application process has begun quickly enough.
What is a Bail Bond?
A bail bond, sometimes referred to as a “surety bond,” is, simply put, financial incentive for a defendant to appear before a judge at the appointed date and time. When you want to get someone out of jail before their court date, the court will need financial reassurance that the defendant will indeed show up for all of their court obligations. As such, a judge will set a certain amount of money that will be paid to the court if the defendant does not show up, that amount of money is known as bail.
Why use a Bail Bondsman?
When a judge sets bail, the amount will vary from county to county and from crime to crime. As such, bail can range from being relatively cheap to many thousands of dollars. When you want to get someone out of jail, and aren’t able to get your hands on several thousand dollars to hand over to the court, a bail bondsman is likely your best bet.
Bailing someone out with a bail bondsman costs only a fraction of the total bail amount. We will meet and beat any locally advertised price! We add no additional charges or fees when you work with us, nor do we charge interest if you choose to finance your bail bond. Our goal is to help you get your friend or loved one out of jail as fast as possible, not to put financial stress on families. For clients who are interested in financing the cost of a bail bond, we have several flexible payment plans that are designed to fit a variety of budgets. Regardless of how you choose to pay, we never include any additional fees, charges or interest.
The Bail Bond Process
The bail bond process is pretty simple and straight-forward. It starts by giving us a call and supplying us with the name, birth date and date and time of arrest of the inmate you’re looking to bail out. We will use that information to locate him or her within the system and verify their eligibility for bail. Once that’s been established, we will have you fill out the bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement and that’s it! We will dispatch an agent to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released shortly thereafter.
One of the many perks of working with us is that we are set up to be able to complete the bail bond application process without even meeting you face-to-face. If you’re out of the area, or simply feel more comfortable at home, we can go through the entire process via phone, fax or email.
