When someone is arrested in Reseda, they’re taken immediately to the West Valley Community Police Station where they will undergo booking and processing. This procedure can take several hours to complete, depending on how busy the station is at the time of arrest. The process includes having the arrestee’s fingerprints recorded, photograph taken and a national background check is conducted. Only after booking and processing has been completed will an inmate be eligible for bail.

The on-site jail at the West Valley Community Police Station isn’t very large, nor is it intended for the long-term housing of inmates. As such, if an inmate isn’t bailed out within 72-hours, or if the jail becomes overcrowded, inmates will begin to be transferred to larger jails in downtown Los Angeles. Male inmates are sent to Twin Towers Correctional Facility while female inmates are sent to the Lynwood Jail. Once the transfer has begun, it can take up to 24-hours to complete as the inmates are put through another round of processing at the new facility. During this period, they will be ineligible for bail.

Why Use a Bail Bondsman

It’s true that a bail bondsman isn’t necessary to get someone out of jail. However, it’s the fastest, and least expensive way to do so. To bail someone out without a bail bondsman, you must pay the full amount of bail to the court clerk during court business hours. This means that if someone is arrested when the court is closed (such as on a weekend or in the evening) they will not be able to be bailed out this way until the court opens again. Additionally, most of us don’t have the kind of cash lying around that’s required to bail someone out this way.

When you work with a bail bondsman, you pay only for the bondsman’s services, not the entire amount of bail. Additionally, a bail bondsman can post bail 24-hours a day at the vast majority of jails. If you want to get someone out of jail as fast as possible, working with us is the way to do that. Aside from the speed and lower cost of bailing someone out, you get our years of experience in the bail industry at your disposal. We locate your friend or loved one, we post the bond, we do the footwork.

The Bail Bond Process

To begin, give us a call and provide us with the full name, birth date and the date and time of arrest of the person you want to bail out. We will use the information you provide you locate them within the system and verify their eligibility for bail. Once we establish that, we have you fill out our bail bond application forms and indemnitor’s agreement. All of our paperwork is short and to the point, but if you have any questions, we are happy to go over everything with you. After that, we send someone to the jail to post the bond and your friend or loved one will be released a little while later.

If you’re out of the area, or simply feel more comfortable at your home or office, we can handle the entire bail bond process with you via phone, fax or email.
