San Bernardino County Inmate Locator

The Barstow police station has an on-site jail that is not designed for the long-term holding of inmates, and it’s possible to bail an individual out directly from that location. Due to the transitory nature of the jail, though, inmates who are located there usually don’t remain for long. If an inmate does not obtain a bail bond within 72-hours (or sooner, if the jail is over-crowded) then he or she will be transported to one of the larger jail facilities in the county. Women are typically transferred to the Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center while men are often sent to the Central Detention Center. If transferred, it is still possible to bail someone out from their current location, though it may take longer due to the larger, busier jail.

The Bail Bond Process

Bailing someone out of jail isn’t very complicated, and it begins by first giving us a call. We will need some general information about the inmate in order to locate him or her within the system and verify their eligibility for bail. After that, we will have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Once that’s finished we will dispatch one of our agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released a short time later.

If you are out of the area, or otherwise unable to meet with us, the entire bail bond application process can be completed via phone, fax or email. Finding out that someone has been arrested often comes as a surprise, and we are more than equipped to help you out no matter where you are or when you want to do it.

Why Bail Someone Out?

When someone is arrested and remains in police custody, jobs can be lost, rent can go unpaid, classes can be failed, etc. Bailing someone out of jail allows them to go about their daily life and continue to take care of their responsibilities.
