Compton once had its own police force, but it was disbanded in 2000 and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stepped in to provide law enforcement for the city. When someone is arrested in Compton, it is to the Compton Sheriff Station they are taken where he will undergo the booking and processing procedure. If it is a female that has been arrested, she will often be taken to the Century City Station for the booking and processing procedure. After that, bail will be set for eligible inmates.

When an arrestee is not released, whether it’s via bail bond or some other form of release, male inmates at the Compton Sheriff Station are typically transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility and must be bailed out from there. This transfer often adds an additional 24 hours to an inmate’s time in custody, due to the fact that Twin Towers is very busy and the inmate must be “processed in” at the new location.

Females, on the other hand, are usually transferred to the Lynwood Jail shortly after being booked and processed at the Century City Station, and are usually bailed out from the Lynwood Jail regardless of how quickly the bail bond process was started.

Do I have to Use a Bondsman?

When someone is arrested, they are not necessarily going to be held in jail. There are a few options for release that the individual may be eligible for, depending on the crime(s) he or she was arrested for.

If a friend or loved one has been arrested and you want to bail them out, it’s entirely possible to pay the full amount of their bail in order to secure their release. However, the full amount of bail can be expensive, and not everyone has the money to exercise that option. In cases like that, Adventure Bail Bonds can make a world of difference.
