LASD Inmate Locator
The LAPD Officers stationed at the Mission Community Police Station service the areas of Mission Hills, Arleta, Panorama City, Sylmar and North Hills. When someone is arrested in one of these areas, they will be taken to the station to undergo the booking and processing procedure. After that, bail will bet set and the inmate will be held at the Mission Community Police Station Jail.
The jail located on-premises is small, and designed only to hold a small number of inmates for a short period of time. If the jail gets crowded, or an inmate’s court arraignment isn’t going to be the next day, it is likely that the inmate will be transferred to one of the larger jails in downtown Los Angeles. Men are typically transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility while women are taken to the CRDF – otherwise known as the Lynwood Jail.
When transferred, inmates can expect to spend an additional 12 to 24 hours in custody as they are processed into the new facility. As such, if you want to get someone out of jail quickly, it’s best to begin the bail bond process as soon as possible in order to avoid the transfer.
Booking and Processing
Immediately after arrest, arrestees are taken to the police station to undergo the booking and processing procedure. This is where fingerprints are recorded, photographs are taken and a national background check is conducted. Once complete, bail will be set per the Los Angeles County Bail Schedule and it will be possible to get the bail bond process started.
The Bail Bond Process
Bailing someone out of jail isn’t very complicated at all. It starts by giving us a call and providing us some information about the inmate, such as his or her full name, birth date and the date and time of arrest. If not all of this information is available to you – that’s ok! We can still help you out. Once we’ve located the inmate within the system and verified their eligibility for bail, we will need you to fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and indemnitor’s agreement. After that, we send one of our agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released a few hours later.
No matter where you’re located, we’re equipped to help you bail your friend or loved one out of jail. We can have the entire bail bond application process completed start to finish via fax or email, allowing you the convenience of remaining at your home or office for the entire time.
