The officers working out the West Valley Community Police Station provide the law enforcement needs of the citizens of Encino, Tarzana, Lake Balboa, Northridge and Reseda.
When an inmate is first arrested in one of these areas, they will be taken to the station where they will undergo booking and processing.
Once completed, bail will bet set and it will be possible for them to be released via bail bond. However, the on-site jail is small, and it’s only designed to hold a few inmates for a short amount of time.
So, if no bail bond is obtained, and they are not granted one of the other options for release, it is likely that the inmate will be transferred to the Van Nuys Jail (if the inmate is a woman) or the Twin Towers Correctional Facility (if the inmate is a man).
At the new location, the inmate will need to be processed in again. These larger jails are incredibly busy and often have a backlog of inmates waiting to be processed in. As a result, should this transfer occur, it is highly likely that the inmate will spend an additional 12-24 hours in custody. If the bail bond process is started quickly after their arrest, though, it is possible to avoid the transfer altogether.
How Bail is Set
When a person is arrested, they are taken to the police station to undergo booking and processing. This is where their photograph is taken, fingerprints are recorded and a national background check is conducted. Once complete, their bail will be set per the County Bail Schedule according to the number and type of crime(s) they are charged with, as well as the threat (if any) they pose to the community should they be released.
The Bail Bond Process
It starts by calling and providing us with some information on the inmate so that we can locate him or her within the system. Once this has been completed, we will need you to fill out the short, simple, bail bond application forms and indemnitor’s agreement. After that, we dispatch one of our agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released shortly thereafter.
We realize that not everyone looking to obtain a bail bond is a local resident, or is able to meet with us directly. As such, we can complete the entire bail bond application process via fax or email.
Payment Options
We will meet and beat any locally advertised price! We add no additional charges or fees when you work with us, nor do we charge interest if you choose to finance your bail bond. Our goal is to help you get your friend or loved one out of jail as fast as possible, not to put financial stress on families. For clients who are interested in financing the cost of a bail bond, we have several flexible payment plans that are designed to fit a variety of budgets.
