The Gardena police station is staffed by 91 sworn officers who are proud of their service to their community. They regularly collaborate with the community in order to foster an environment of trust between themselves and the people that they serve.

Individuals who are arrested by the Gardena police will be taken to the station where they will undergo the booking and processing procedure.

The arrestee will have photographs taken, fingerprints recorded and a national background check will be conducted in order to find out if the individual is wanted for any other crimes in another city. Once the process has been completed, bail will be set and the inmate will be eligible for release via bail bond.

• Property Bond – Instead of a bail bond, the court can issue a lien on a piece of property which has a value that meets the bail requirements. If an individual fails to show up for their day in court, though, the property is forfeit.
• Cited Out – when one is cited out, he or she agrees to meet their court obligations and is released. If they fail to show up for court, though, a warrant for their arrest is often issued.

Do I Have to Use a Bondsman?

It isn’t necessary to contact a bail bondsman in order to bail someone out of jail. One must simply present the full amount of bail to the court clerk and the inmate will be released shortly thereafter. The thing is, bail can be very expensive. If you have an extra ten or twenty-thousand dollars just lying around, it may be possible for you.

However, when you use a bail bondsman, you only need to present a fraction of the total bail amount to the bondsman. This, essentially, is their “fee” for guaranteeing the court that, should the defendant fail to meet their court obligations, bail in its entirety will be paid.
