The Santa Clarita Valley Courthouse, (also called the Newhall Court) is where Misdemeanor trials and arraignments are held for the Santa Clarita and surrounding areas.

All Felony trials out of Santa Clarita are are held in the San Fernando Valley Courthouse.

When an individual is arrested and taken into custody in Santa Clarita, they will be taken to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station Jail for booking and processing.

After that, if they are not bailed out, they will either await their arraignment at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station Jail or will be transferred to one of the larger facilities such as Twin Towers Jail (for men) or Lynwood Jail (for women).

If a bail bond application is filled out and a bond is posted for an inmate rather quickly, it is possible to bail them out of jail or from the Santa Clarita Valley Courthouse and avoid any time-consuming transfers.
