The City of Newhall is located in the Santa Clarita Valley and patrolled by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station deputies. When someone is arrested in Newhall, they are brought to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station for booking and processing.

This is a pretty small facility, but the bail process can take from 4 to 6 hours. Once complete, bail will be set and the inmate will either await their court date at the SCV Jail or, in the case they are not bailed out, might be transferred to a larger downtown facility such as Twin Towers Correctional Facility (for men) or the CRDF (Lynwood Jail) for women.

These larger metropolitan facilities are much busier, and when an inmate is transferred to one of them, it usually adds an additional 24 hours to their time in custody. This transfer can be avoided, though, if the bail bond process is begun before the transfer takes place.

Booking and Processing

Booking and processing is the procedure in which photographs of the arrestee are taken, fingerprints are recorded and a nationwide background check is conducted. Once complete, bail is set (for those who are eligible) as per the Los Angeles County Bail Schedule.

The Bail Bond Process

Obtaining a bail bond is probably a lot easier than you think. It begins with a phone call to us and speaking with a friendly, knowledgeable bail bondsman.

He or she will require a little bit of information in order to locate the arrestee in question, namely their full name, birth date and the date and time of arrest. If you don’t have all of this information, that’s okay – we can still get the bail bond process started.

Once the arrestee has been located within the system and their eligibility for bail verified, it will be time to fill out the bail bond application forms. If you are unable to meet with us at our office or the jail, we can complete this entire process via phone, email or fax — whatever works best for you, works best for us.

Once it’s all said and done, we will dispatch a bail agent to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released shortly thereafter.
