San Jacinto Police Station and Jail Information

The City of San Jacinto contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for police services. When someone is arrested in San Jacinto, they will be taken to the San Jacinto Police Station to undergo booking and processing. This procedure takes anywhere from 45 minutes to a few hours to complete and includes taking the arrestee’s photograph, recording their fingerprints, and conducting a comprehensive national background check to look for additional warrants. The final step in the process is to set bail, after which the arrestee is eligible to be released via bail bond.

You can bail someone out of jail at virtually any time after bail has been set. However, if the on-site jail at the San Jacinto Police Station becomes overcrowded, or if an inmate is located there for longer than 72 hours, they will likely be transferred to one a larger jail in Riverside County, such as the West Valley Detention Center. It usually takes between 12 and 24 hours for the transfer process to be completed, and during this time inmates are unable to be bailed out. However, once the transfer is complete, they will once again be eligible for bail.
