Twin Towers Jail is one of the long-term holding facilities in downtown Los Angeles that is used to house pre and post-trial inmates. It’s one of the busiest jails in the world, with inmates being processed in and out around the clock. If a friend or loved one has been arrested and taken to Twin Towers Jail, bailing them out by yourself can be a confusing and harrowing experience. Therefore, working with a bail bondsman makes the process much less stressful.
How to Post Bail at Twin Towers Jail
For the public, posting bail at Twin Towers Jail by yourself requires paying the full amount of bail to the court clerk during court business hours (usually M-F 8:30 am to 4:30 pm – excluding court holidays).
Should you choose to hire a bail bondsman, the process is a little different. It begins by calling and providing us with some identifying information on the person you want to bail out of jail. We will use that info to locate the inmate within the jail system and verify their eligibility for bail.
Once that has been established, we will have you fill out and sign our short, simple bail bond application forms. We then dispatch an agent to the jail to post the bond. Unlike the public, a bail bondsman can post bail directly at the jail 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, the cost for working with a bail bondsman is only a fraction of the total bail amount. Once a bail agent has posted bail, your friend or loved one will be released once they can be processed out.
How Long Does it Take to Get Released?
As mentioned, Twin Towers Jail is one of the busiest jails in the world. When an inmate is brought to the location it can take several hours to be processed in (often between 12 and 24 hours during the busiest periods). It can sometimes take that long to be processed out, too. However, you can rest assured that once bail has been posted your friend or loved one will be in line for release and will be freed as soon as it is their turn to be processed out.
