The area of Canyon Country is located within the Santa Clarita Valley and is patrolled by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies. Individuals who are arrested in Canyon Country will therefore be taken to the SCV or Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Jail to undergo the booking and processing procedure.

This can take anywhere from a couple hours to six hours or more, depending on how busy the jail is. Once complete, bail will be set (for those who are eligible) and release from custody can be secured via a bail bond.

If the bail bond process has not begun quickly or they complain of any medical issues, it is possible that the inmate will be transferred to a larger holding facility, such as Twin Towers Correctional Facility (in the case of male inmates) or the Lynwood Jail (for women).

When a transfer such as this occurs, it can add up to 24 hours of additional time in custody since the inmate will have to be processed into the larger, busier jail.

Getting the Bail Bond Process Started

The first thing to do is to call and speak with one of our friendly, local bail agents. Provide the full name, birth date and date and time of arrest of the individual in custody and we will quickly locate him or her within the system.

Once they have been located and their eligibility for bail has been verified, the only thing left to do will be to fill out a few short bail bond application forms and the indemnitor agreement.

Once these documents have been completed and signed, we will dispatch one of our local agents to the jail and your friend or loved one will be released shortly thereafter. You can also meet with us directly at our office, located directly across the street from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station Jail.

If you have any questions or concerns about the forms, the bondsman you’re working with will be more than happy to answer your questions. If you’re not in the Canyon Country area, the entire process can be done via fax or email as well. What’s convenient for you is convenient for us.
