The City of Jurupa Valley contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to provide their law enforcement needs. When someone is arrested in Jurupa Valley or the surrounding areas, they are typically taken to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff Station where they will undergo the booking and processing procedure before being placed in a temporary holding cell.

After a certain amount of time has gone by (usually about 72 hours), or if the temporary holding cell gets overcrowded, inmates will be transferred to one of the larger jails in Riverside County. During this transfer process, inmates will be ineligible for release via bail bond. However, once the transfer process completes, inmates will once again be eligible for bail. The transfer process tends to add an additional 12 to 24 hours in police custody, however, when the bail bond process is begun while an inmate is still located at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff Station, the transfer process can often be avoided altogether.

How to Bail Someone Out of Jail

To bail someone out of jail, begin by giving us a call and providing some identifying information on the person you’re looking to bail out. Often, this includes their name, birth date, and the date and time of their arrest. But, if not all of this information is available to you, we can still help you out.

We will use the information you provide to locate the inmate within the jail system and verify their eligibility for bail. Once we have established that, we will have you fill out our short, simple, bail bond application forms. Finally, we will send someone to the jail to post the bond, and your friend or loved one will be released a short time later.

How Long Does Release Take?

The length of time it takes for someone to be released from custody after a bond has been posted will depend on where the inmate is located and how busy the jail is currently. Generally, inmates who are bailed out from local police stations are released faster than those located at larger, busier county jails. That being said, most inmates are released within a few hours as soon as they can be processed out.
